Terms of Service

Last updated: March 7, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HouseBase website at housebase.org (“Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. About HouseBase

HouseBase is a real estate investment company that purchases residential properties directly from homeowners. We are not licensed real estate brokers or agents. We are real estate investors. We do not list properties for sale on behalf of homeowners. Equal Housing Opportunity.

3. Services Described

Through this Site, you may:

  • Submit property information to receive an offer from HouseBase
  • Receive an automated property valuation estimate based on third-party data (ATTOM Data Solutions)
  • Consent to receive phone calls, including calls using automated dialing systems or AI-generated voice

4. Property Valuation Estimates

Any property valuation estimate displayed on this Site is an automated estimate based on comparable sales data from third-party sources. It is not an offer to purchase, an appraisal, or a guarantee of value. Your actual offer from HouseBase may differ based on property condition, market conditions, repair costs, and other factors. Estimates are provided for informational purposes only.

5. No Obligation

Submitting your information through our Site creates no obligation to sell your property to HouseBase. Any offer we make is also non-binding until both parties execute a written purchase agreement. You are free to accept, reject, or negotiate any offer.

6. Closing Costs & Fees

HouseBase covers all standard closing costs, including title search, escrow, recording fees, and transfer taxes. There are no hidden fees, commissions, or charges to the seller. Specific terms may vary by state and will be outlined in the purchase agreement.

7. Creative Finance Transactions

In some cases, HouseBase may offer to acquire your property through creative finance arrangements, such as taking over your existing mortgage payments. In these transactions:

  • The existing mortgage remains in the seller’s name until it is paid off or refinanced
  • HouseBase assumes responsibility for making all future payments
  • Full terms, risks, and protections will be disclosed in the purchase agreement
  • We strongly encourage sellers to consult with an attorney before entering into any creative finance arrangement

Terms and regulatory requirements for creative finance transactions vary by state. We ensure compliance with all applicable local and state regulations, including required disclosures (e.g., Texas Property Code §5.016).

8. Consent to Communications

By checking the consent box on our form, you expressly consent to receive calls and messages from HouseBase at the phone number you provide, including calls made using an automated telephone dialing system or artificial intelligence-generated voice. This consent is governed by our Privacy Policy and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

You may revoke consent at any time by informing us during a call, emailing info@housebase.org, or calling (888) 818-4489.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information about yourself or a property
  • Submit information about a property you do not own or have authority to sell
  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation of the Site
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Site

This Site and all information on it are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Property estimates are approximations and should not be relied upon as definitive valuations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HouseBase shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or our services, including reliance on property estimates.
